Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing warehouse distribution tasks, operating heavy equipment, and ensuring the smooth flow of goods within the facility. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse management systems and safety protocols, with an emphasis on heavy lifting, order picking, and shipping & receiving operations. Candidates with warehouse experience and mechanical knowledge are highly preferred to support our operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, and other machinery safely and efficiently
- Load and unload shipments, ensuring proper handling of goods to prevent damage
- Pick and pack orders accurately using warehouse management systems and order picker tools
- Manage shipping and receiving processes, including documentation and inventory updates
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any malfunctions or safety concerns
- Assist in construction or warehouse setup projects as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment adhering to safety standards
- Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse operations and improve workflow efficiency
Experience
- Prior experience in warehouse distribution or logistics is highly desirable
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation such as forklifts, cranes, and clamp trucks
- Hands-on experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory software
- Proven ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in shipping & receiving, order picking, and load & unload procedures
- Construction or industrial background is a plus but not mandatory
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and warehouse activities
