The Vice President of Sales works very closely with our Executive and terminal Leadership Teams to establish and execute on a strategic sales and business development plan to ensure we have the necessary framework to deliver on our mission statement each day. Growing current business lines and entering new operating markets with new product segments while having a continuous focus on fostering current and new relationships amongst our customer base are key objectives of this role. The successful candidate will be part of our executive team and will report to the Executive Vice President of Canadian Operations.

What you bring:
Post-secondary education (or considerable work experience to supplement) in administration, safety, logistics or transportation
Minimum 10 years of diverse experience with management responsibilities in the transportation industry required with exposure to fuel and bulk commodity hauling
Previous roles must include formal sales or business development responsibilities
Required to be on-call outside of normal business hours
Facilitation skills are essential for this role
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Well organized, detail oriented, enthusiastic and confident with a roll up your sleeves attitude towards work
Capable of handling confidential information with discretion and professionalism
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, requiring initiative and ambition, able to work independently
A solid business presence complimented by personal drive, resourcefulness, maturity, integrity, honesty and sound business judgment
Ability to travel within the assigned region 50% of the time or greater as needs arise

About the position:
Working with the executive team to establish strategy and set clear goals and objectives for growing our revenue base that move the company towards its mission
Collaborating with Safety, Fleet Services, Human Resources, Operations and our Accounting groups to ensure the business is delivering on all commitments, customers are satisfied, and people, equipment and safety programs are in place to run effectively at all times
Providing direction and supporting to other leaders in the company as it relates to growing their base level knowledge and skill in their approach to sales and business development
Exploring continuous learning efforts to gain a clear understanding of industry regulations, market trends and the economic climate overall
Attending industry events and conferences, and share learnings on market and industry trends
Administering other duties and projects as assigned
