Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Part-time Barista/Cashier to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, preparing and serving beverages and food items, and managing transactions accurately. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and light food items following established recipes and standards
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, accurately handling cash, credit card transactions, and receipts
- Greet customers warmly, take their orders efficiently, and provide excellent customer service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the counter area, ensuring food safety standards are met
- Handle cash register operations with accuracy, including cash handling and basic math calculations for transactions
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks when required
- Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures at all times
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers
- Good math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely order fulfillment and customer satisfaction
- Friendly demeanor with strong communication skills
- Ability to work part-time hours with flexibility during peak times
