Summer Student (Human Resources Assistant)

Acden Holdings is currently accepting applications for one (1) Summer Student (Human Resources Assistant) to support its Human Resources department. This summer position will be based out of the Acden Taiganova Head Office in Fort McMurray, Alberta and will consist of Monday to Friday, 8-hour day shifts. The Summer Student (Human Resources Assistant) reports directly to the Human Resources Manager.
In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the Human Resources team performing prescreen calls to potential candidates, request certifications and confirm qualifications. The role involves keen attention to detail in editing. You must have the ability to communicate professionally while interacting with candidates or while providing feedback to the HR team. You must be adept in collaboration and supporting the team while performing other duties as requested.
As the ideal candidate, you must be enrolled in a post-secondary educational program; preference will be given to those enrolled in a Business Administration Management or Human Resources Management Program. You will also possess one (1) year of experience in a customer service or an administrative role. A combination of education and experience may be considered. You will be proficient with Microsoft Office suite and other related software. As the successful candidate, you will have the ability to multi-task, have strong organizational skills, outstanding interpersonal skills, teamwork and communications skills. Acute attention to detail and a high level of accuracy is a must within this role. You will possess team spirit, consultation skills, accountability, tenacity and resilience. The ideal candidate will be honest and trustworthy, patient, respectful, sensitive, maintain confidentiality, and cultural awareness and have a positive attitude.
Within your working environment you will be interacting with candidates, completing prescreens, references, confirming qualifications and/or scheduling interviews. You will work efficiently on simultaneous assignments under tight deadlines with medium to minimal supervision. The successful candidate will have the ability to adapt to work within a medium- to high-stress office environment.
