G License Delivery Driver – Building Supplies

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced G License Delivery Driver to join our team for building supplies deliveries. The successful candidate will operate a 26-foot straight truck and deliver building materials and supplies safely and efficiently to customers and job sites.
This is a Monday to Friday day-shift position with an early 5:00 AM start. The role involves loading and unloading building supplies using a tailgate and pallet jack, as well as providing professional and reliable customer service.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 26-foot straight truck for local building supply deliveries.
- Deliver building materials and supplies to customers, businesses, and job sites.
- Load, unload, and properly secure freight for transportation.
- Use the truck's tailgate and pallet jack to safely move and unload materials.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any vehicle or equipment issues.
- Ensure all deliveries are completed safely, accurately, and on time.
- Obtain delivery confirmations and maintain accurate delivery documentation.
- Communicate with dispatch regarding routes, delivery schedules, and any issues.
- Follow all company, workplace, and road safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean and safe truck and work area.
- Provide professional and courteous service to customers.
Requirements
- Valid Ontario G / DZ Driver's Licence.
- Minimum 3 years of commercial driving experience.
- Experience driving a 26-foot straight truck is an asset.
- Previous delivery experience, preferably with building supplies or construction materials.
- Comfortable using a tailgate and pallet jack for loading and unloading.
- Good knowledge of local roads and safe driving practices.
- Ability to lift, move, and handle building materials as required.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Clean and safe driving record preferred.
Compensation & Schedule
- $23.00 per hour
- Monday to Friday
- 5:00 AM – 1:00 PM
- Paid on payroll
