Role: Logistics/Inventory Coordinator
Role Type: Contract 6 months
Start Date: Immediate
Salary: $25.00-$27.00/hour
Logistics:
- Responsible for integrity of shipping schedule, and all activities related to the schedule.
- Responsible for tendering and schedule creation of all liquid shipment orders.
- Coordination and execution of the Shuttle Schedule.
- Prepare necessary paperwork for delivery notes and certificates of analysis, posting and problem solving on all orders.
- Perform local liaison function between Customer Service, QA and Corporate Transport on all orders.
- Receptions and Inventory problem solving as needed.
- Daily and monthly reporting of all CHEP shipments.
- Prepare all customs documents as they relate to orders.
- Complete customs paperwork.
- Responsible for all inbound and outbound appointment discrepancies.
- Greets all drivers and assigns them to their destination.
- Document all Carrier issues using the NCR database in SAP.
- Responsible for all Courier shipments
- Responsible for preparing Commercial Invoices on Return shipments
- Receptions (MIGO) and Inventory problem solving as needed.
- Responsible Daily to clean up the extra inventory that needs to be deployed to the different warehouses.
- Hershey order EDI processing and problem solving as needed.
Inventory
- Maintain inventory accuracy of raw materials, finished products and spare parts.
- Report and explain Material Usage Variances.
- Daily balancing of production process orders.
- Creating technical purchase orders and goods receipts for maintenance and office.
- Provide training and assistance and procedures for operations staff.
- Ensure site meets supplier and customer traceability standards.
- Problem solving all order, process order issues for the site.
- Main point of contact for all weekend issues as it pertains to operations, inventory and logistics execution.
- Back up for outside warehouse reconciliation on a monthly basis
- Prepare Cycle Counts on weekends for material handlers
EDUCATION, LANGUAGE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- College Diploma/Associates Degree or equivalent of 3+ years’ experience of relevant logistics experience in a
manufacturing/food environment.
- Strong computer skills – including Medium SAP, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Windows.
- Must be aware of manufacturing methods, process improvements and procedures.
- Proven Math skills.
- Strong presentation & communication skills.
- Accurate personality, excellent work ethic.
- Works well independently and as part of a team.
- May be required to travel from time to time.
ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS OR COMMENTS
- Lift Truck driving experience will be an asset.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE / TECHNICAL OR FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES
- SAP Knowledge is a must
- Must be able to freely move around entire facility.
- Must be able to lift 55lbs.
- Must be able to drive a forklift.
- Exposure to excessive noise, heat, cold and dust.
