We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Full Time General Operations Coordinator supporting the Primary Health Care & Chronic Disease Management team at Surrey Memorial Hospital located in Surrey, B.C. In this role, you will coordinate the development of facility-wide services and/or initiatives, focused on seeking and developing efficiencies within site services.
Your main responsibilities will be to:
Participate in the redesign and restructuring of operational systems, strategies and processes to achieve maximum efficiency and quality while improving overall service delivery.
Collaborate with all Support Services across Fraser Health, BISS, HSSBC related to integration of regional objectives to ensure strong linkages of service delivery while imbedding “system thinking” principles into service delivery that recognize the interdependencies of functions and services.
Correlate and provide oversight to pre-approved equipment requests from both programs and site as well as ensuring approved requests are reviewed by stakeholders (Programs, Foundation, or Auxiliary), and selected items are purchased and received.
Provide liaison from site to Purchasing as required, monitor expenditures within approved established budget, identify efficiencies and promote optimal use of resources while making recommendations on current and future programs and service adjustments from site perspective.
Participate in the development and implementation of multi-disciplinary quality improvement processes as well as ensure the coordination of services and programs to reduce gaps in service, duplication of service and that the right interface is in place to support excellence in customer service.
Ensure that appropriate quality and safety measures are in place and compatible with industry standards and accreditation bodies while notifying appropriate regional disciplines to any breach in compliance.
Promote and facilitate excellence in communication with internal and external contacts and clients, in keeping with customer service philosophy, mission statement and good business practices as well as respond to and resolve customer service problems
Co-ordinate the renovation process of design development and contract preparation by liaising with Facility Planning project consultants and various User Groups for assigned projects.
As the successful candidate, you have:
Bachelor degree from recognized university, in business administration, health sciences, or related field plus three (3) to five (5) years' recent, related progressive experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience, including knowledge of building codes and planning by-laws.
