We are currently seeking an experienced Industrial Landscape Maintenance Crew Leader to join our Industrial Division. This posting is for an existing vacancy with Serv-A-Yards Industrial Division.
This position is ideal for an experienced landscape professional with strong leadership skills, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety, quality, and customer service. As an Industrial Landscape Maintenance Crew Leader, you will be responsible for leading a crew, coordinating daily work activities, and ensuring projects are completed efficiently while meeting Serv-A-Yard's high standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and supervise a crew of 1–4 employees on industrial landscaping and grounds maintenance projects.
- Plan and coordinate daily work activities to ensure jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
- Perform a variety of landscaping duties including mowing, trimming, edging, planting, mulching, pruning, weed control, seasonal cleanups, and hardscape support.
- Safely operate and oversee the use of equipment including commercial mowers, tractors, skid steers, mini excavators, trimmers, blowers, and other landscape equipment.
- Read and interpret site maps, work orders, and instructions to ensure work is completed accurately.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or repair requirements.
- Ensure all work complies with company quality standards, health and safety policies, and customer expectations.
- Train, mentor, and provide ongoing coaching to new and existing crew members.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment while promoting safe work practices.
- Communicate professionally with customers, property managers, and internal team members.
- Report job progress, site concerns, equipment issues, and customer requests to supervisors in a timely manner.
- Participate in winter snow and ice management operations, including snow plowing, sidewalk clearing, salting, sanding, and de-icing services.
- Operate snow removal equipment such as trucks with plows, skid steers, loaders, tractors, snow blowers, and salt spreaders, as required.
- Respond to winter weather events, including overnight, early morning, weekend, and holiday shifts, to ensure timely and safe snow and ice control services.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of commercial landscaping or grounds maintenance experience.
- Previous experience leading or supervising a landscaping crew.
- Strong knowledge of landscaping practices, equipment operation, and maintenance.
- Experience operating commercial landscaping equipment, including tractors, skid steers, and mini excavators, is an asset.
- Ability to read site plans and follow work schedules.
- Valid Class G driver's licence with a clean and insurable driving record.
- Clean and acceptable driver's abstract.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs (23 kg) or more and perform physically demanding work throughout the day.

Working Conditions
- Year-round permanent position.
- Outdoor work in a variety of weather conditions.
- Physically demanding work including lifting, bending, kneeling, and prolonged standing.
- Frequent travel between customer sites.
- Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required during peak seasons.
