Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Glass Technician to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, replacing, and repairing auto glass with precision and care, ensuring safety and customer satisfaction. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with automotive repair experience and a strong mechanical aptitude to contribute to a reputable dealership or auto service center.
Duties
- Remove damaged or broken auto glass safely and efficiently
- Install new windshields and auto glass using specialized tools and techniques
- Ensure proper sealing and fitting of glass components to prevent leaks and wind noise
- Inspect vehicles for additional damages or issues related to glass installation
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting techniques to handle various glass sizes and vehicle models
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to adhere to safety standards
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers regarding service procedures and timelines
Requirements
- Prior dealership experience or automotive repair background preferred
- Mechanical knowledge with familiarity in using hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment
- Experience working with automotive glass installation or repair is highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to lift heavy glass components safely and efficiently
- Mechanic experience or background in automotive repair is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license preferred but not mandatory depending on job location
