Terms of Employment
- Position Type: Permanent, Full-time.
- Start Date: ASAP
- Hours of Work: 35-40 Hours per week (Must be willing to work flexible shifts, weekends and public holidays and on-call hours may be required to handle department emergencies or urgent peak seasonal demand)
Wage and Benefits
- Hourly Rate: $37.50 per hour
- Vacation Pay: 4% vacation pay accrual or 2 weeks of paid annual vacation

Job Duties
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, directing and controlling the operations of the different cleaning services; Short term rental, Residential, Commercial, and Carpet cleaning. This role requires active operational leadership where you will demonstrate exemplary cleaning standards during training and step in to supervise workflow execution, ensuring all work is finished on schedule, within budget and to the set benchmarks.
- Operations Management: Plan, organize and direct the daily operations of the business to ensure efficiency and high standards across all cleaning services.
- Policy Implementation: Develop, establish and enforce company policies and procedures for cleaning staff.
- Financial Oversight: Manage the company budget, control operational costs and oversee inventory cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Human Resources: Hire, train, schedule and supervise cleaning staff and crew leaders.
- Client Relations: Respond to customer inquiries, handle complaints, liaise with current clients and ensure client satisfaction with the cleaning services.
- Marketing and Contracts: Manage business contracts and establish new clients through advertising and marketing the business services. Quote and negotiate contracts with new clients to grow the business.
Skills and Requirements
- Language of work: Fluent English - Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are required to write operational reports, conduct employee reviews and coordinate with management and clients.
- Education: Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent level qualification is required. A college diploma or university degree in hospitality or hotel management is preferred but not essential.
- Work Experience: Minimum of 2 years as a cleaning or housekeeping supervisor plus at least 1 year of experience in a cleaning management role. Experience in residential, carpet cleaning and hotel or Airbnb style cleaning environments are preferred.
- Driver’s License: A valid Canadian Driving license is required to travel between properties to meet staff, inspect work and transport supplies.
- Computer and IT Literacy: Working knowledge of computer and cellphone applications is required, including Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and digital property management or hospitality scheduling software for inventory and scheduling.
- Core Competencies: Exceptional time management and problem solving abilities are required as well as strong leadership and strict attention to detail.
- Accommodation: Staff housing is not provided. The successful candidate will be responsible for their own relocation and accommodation arrangements. Upon relocation the successful candidate must have access to reliable transportation and the ability to physically arrive on site to manage emergency operational issues when scheduled for on-call duties.
