Blockcare seeks a Business Development Associate to manage and grow the company’s institutional-facing partnerships for our clients. This role will be under the Growth & Partnerships umbrella whose ultimate focus is expanding the use cases and user base of the tech stacks under Blockcare’s management.
Duties
- Identify, develop and manage relationships with institutional partners in the DeFi and tokenized asset sectors (real-world asset issuers, regulated stablecoin issuers, asset-backed token initiatives, etc).
- Conduct market research and act as the primary point of contact with market makers sharing regular key insights for the project’s growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to cultivate partnerships for the ecosystem's growth (DeFi, CEX listings, integrations, etc).
- Preserving a professional presence on business and social networks representing the company.
The role demands a strong emphasis on outbound sales activities, including phone calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach, and participation in networking events. Experience in overcoming objections and navigating to decision-makers is crucially important. This position involves certain ad-hoc tasks, including developing sales processes, contributing to marketing strategies, preparing for and conducting sales meetings, and developing presentations and proposals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- 2 years of proven experience in business development, preferably within the DeFi and blockchain sectors.
- Strong understanding of financial principles related to blockchain networks.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and sales skills.
- Results-driven mindset with the ability to work collaboratively.
- Willingness to travel for business meetings and industry events.
Bonus Qualifications
- Deep knowledge of and existing relationships with various players in the crypto ecosystem, including DeFi projects, centralized exchanges and blockchain protocols.
- Experience working with financial institutions, hedge funds, or investment firms.
- Knowledge of regulatory environments related to blockchain and DeFi.
