ABOUT THE POSITION
The General Labourer is responsible for supporting daily production operations in a fast-paced industrial laundry facility. This role involves sorting, processing, folding, inspecting, and preparing customer products while maintaining quality, productivity, and workplace safety standards. Employees may rotate through different workstations based on operational needs.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
1. Sort, hang, fold, bag, and inspect uniforms, mats, towels, and other rental products.
2. Operate production equipment safely and efficiently.
3. Maintain production quotas while ensuring quality standards are met.
4. Assist with loading, unloading, and moving products throughout the facility.
5. Keep workstations clean, organized, and free of hazards.
6. Follow all health and safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
7. Support other production departments as needed to meet daily operational demands.
8. Report equipment issues, damaged products, or safety concerns to supervisors.
9. Work collaboratively with team members to ensure customer orders are completed accurately and on time.
REQUIREMENTS / CERTIFICATIONS
1. Previous manufacturing, warehouse, or general labour experience is considered an asset.
2. Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.
3. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
4. Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality.
5. Able to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Willingness to rotate between different production tasks as required.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
1. $19.00/hour
SCHEDULE:
- Monday to Friday: Day shift & Afternoon Shift
