Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Cabinet Maker for one of our clients in Concord, Ontario. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of professional cabinet-making experience and be comfortable working independently in a production environment.
This position is well suited for a skilled cabinet maker with strong attention to detail, solid knowledge of woodworking techniques, and experience working with shop tools and machinery.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and assemble custom cabinets and millwork according to drawings and specifications
- Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and measurements
- Cut, shape, drill, and assemble wood and other cabinet materials
- Operate woodworking machinery and hand/power tools safely and effectively
- Install hardware, hinges, slides, handles, and other cabinet components
- Ensure finished products meet quality and dimensional specifications
- Perform accurate measurements and make adjustments when required
- Inspect completed work for quality, fit, finish, and functionality
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow production schedules and meet required deadlines
- Work collaboratively with other members of the production team
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of professional cabinet-making experience
- Strong knowledge of cabinet construction and woodworking techniques
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and technical specifications
- Proficiency with woodworking tools and machinery
- Strong measurement and mathematical skills
- Excellent attention to detail and quality
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good physical ability and willingness to work in a manufacturing environment
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
