Electrical Project Coordinator & Estimator

The Opportunity
We're seeking an Electrical Project Coordinator & Estimator to join our Commercial Projects team. This role
provides vital administrative, technical estimating, and organizational support to ensure our commercial electrical
projects run smoothly from pre-construction tender through final close-out. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented,
proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Project Managers in coordinating all aspects of commercial and industrial electrical projects from
tender through completion.
- Conduct comprehensive electrical take-offs (conduit, wire, fixtures, switchgear), gather supplier and
wholesaler quotes, prepare bid documentation, and organize tender submissions.
- Track and update electrical pricing, change orders, and scope adjustments throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare and maintain electrical project documentation, including component submittals, single-line
diagrams, electrical drawings, RFIs, and change orders.
- Coordinate procurement and electrical material tracking to ensure timely delivery and cost accuracy.
- Maintain organized project files, digital schematics, and correspondence in both digital and physical
formats.
- Schedule and record project meetings, distribute minutes, and monitor follow-up actions.
- Support communication between clients, electrical subcontractors, vendors, and internal departments.
- Collaborate with accounting and project management teams to support job costing, progress billing, and
reporting.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential electrical scheduling, ESA clearance, or documentation issues,
and assist in resolving them.
- Provide general administrative and coordination support to the Electrical department as needed.
Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience in construction, electrical estimating, or project coordination (commercial or
industrial electrical settings preferred).
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills with keen attention to detail.
- Demonstrated experience assisting with tender submissions, electrical material take-offs, and pricing
breakdowns.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace; familiarity with electrical estimating software
(e.g., Accubid) or project management software preferred.
- Solid understanding of construction documentation such as submittals, electrical schematics, drawings,
RFIs, and change orders.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple departments and manage competing priorities in a
deadline-driven environment.
