As a Sous Chef, you are responsible for day to day kitchen operations. Working directly with your Chef de Cuisine some of your duties and responsibilities will be as follows


  • Lead kitchen team with positivity, integrity and a willingness to coach and mentor
  • Set the standard for how to maintain and work a station on line while also maintaining standards throughout the kitchen
  • Empowering and coaching all members of the team while always striving to improve quality
  • Ensuring food quality is unparalleled each and every service
  • Maintaining consistency for every dish regardless of who is cooking
  • Ensure all policies and procedures related to food safety, health & safety and WHIMIS are fulfilled
  • Adhering to the food ordering systems and ensuring there is the correct amount of product in house


  • Creating features that are reflective of brand and add excitement to our menus
  • Assist the chef de cuisine in menu and recipe development
  • Manage food costs on a day to day basis by reducing waste
  • Manage BOH labour on a day to day basis by keeping the team motivated and working efficiently
  • Sustain a culture of continuous growth and learning for the team
  • Communicate effectively with the FOH team

  • Attends weekly management meetings and is engaged in always pushing the restaurant forward

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $50,000.00 to $60,000.00 /year


  • Culinary: 5 years (Preferred)
  • sous chef: 1 year (Preferred)
