Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating various types of forklifts to manage inventory, load and unload goods, and support warehouse operations. This role requires a strong focus on safety, mechanical aptitude, and attention to detail to ensure smooth distribution processes within a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Operate forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, to move products throughout the warehouse
- Safely operate Raymond Reach and Counterbalance forklifts
- Load and unload trucks with precision and care, ensuring proper handling of goods
- Pick, pack, and organize inventory using warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Conduct routine inspections of forklifts and equipment to ensure safety and proper functioning
- Assist in inventory management by accurately counting and recording stock levels
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely as required for order picking and stock replenishment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries during forklift operation
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution and forklift operation
- Previous experience operating both Raymond Reach and Counterbalance forklifts
- Valid forklift certification preffered
- Ability to operate clamp trucks, order pickers, and other material handling equipment
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with forklifts and related machinery
- Basic computer skills for warehouse systems and documentation
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to lift and move materials as required
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
