We are looking for Masonry / Concrete Repairer / Restoration Technician to fill a full-time position.
Job Responsibilities
- Carrying out repairs, maintenance, and renovation work on high structures such as high-rise buildings.
- Perform masonry repairs including bricklaying, blockwork, stone setting, tuck-pointing, and parging.
- Complete concrete work such as forming, pouring, finishing, grinding, patching, crack repairs, and resurfacing.
- Conduct building envelope restoration, including waterproofing, caulking, sealant installation, membrane application, and protective coatings.
- Perform painting works including surface preparation, priming, application of exterior/interior coatings, touch-ups, and finishing work on various building surfaces.
- Complete caulking and sealant applications around windows, doors, joints, expansion gaps, penetrations, and other building envelope components to ensure proper weatherproofing and durability.
- Assess structural issues, deterioration, and material failures; recommend suitable repair methods.
- Prepare job sites by setting up necessary safety equipment.
- Assembling and utilizing specialized access equipment, including scaffolding, mobile work platforms, industrial ropes for abseiling (rope access), and traditional harnesses.
- Mix and apply mortars, grouts, concrete repair materials, specialty restoration products, coatings, paints, and sealants.
- Operate power tools and equipment safely (grinders, saws, chipping hammers, mixers, lifts, etc.).
- Perform façade repairs including spall repair, repointing, crack sealing, caulking, painting, coating applications, and replacement of damaged components.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and site conditions.
- Comply with all safety regulations, company policies, and quality standards.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors/superintendents, engineers, and other crew members to complete projects efficiently.
Work Environment
- Full-time, year-round work (weather permitting).
- Physically demanding and varied conditions, including dusty, hot, cold, and noisy environments.
- Must be comfortable working outdoors and at heights.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: Previous experience in masonry, concrete repair, or building restoration (2–3 years preferred).
- Transportation: Valid driver's license and personal transportation are desirable.
- Certifications: Fall Protection, WHMIS, First Aid, or other construction certifications are assets.
