Claridge Homes is looking for a full-time Senior Accountant to join or Finance and Accounting Team.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist in treasury management and cash flow requirements
- Reconcile inter-company transactions and balances
- Preparation of Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual HST Returns
- Work with Project Monitor to produce timely cost-to-date reports for project financing
- Prepare and analyze WIP Reports and Job Cost Analysis Reports
- Continually assess gross profit margins by project as well as portfolio
- Support month-end and year-end close process
- Liaise with external auditors, provide necessary documentation to complete reviews and compilations
- Performing other accounting duties and supporting junior staff as required
Experience and Skills:
- University degree or college diploma in Accounting or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a construction environment
- CPA or working towards CPA would be considered an asset
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Strong computer skills, including Excel. Experience with an integrated ERP solution would be an asset
- High level attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and ability to learn quickly
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential for success in this role
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment, independently and as part of a team
