We are a downtown Italian retsuarnt , looking for a skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our team in a bustling restaurant environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, and chopping
- Assist in cooking and preparing various dishes
- Follow recipes accurately and maintain food preparation processes
- Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen area
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
- Monitor food stock and place orders when there are shortages
Experience
- Minimum 2 years experience in the food industry
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and meal presentation
- Understanding of kitchen sanitation practices and food safety guidelines
- Ability to work well in a team setting and take direction from the head chef
- Strong multitasking skills and the ability to work under pressure
