Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Labourer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting construction, maintenance, and various manual tasks across multiple projects. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The Labourer will play a vital role in day to day operations. Mantario Chimney specializes in the area of wood-burning products more specifically wood stoves, pellet stoves, fireplaces and chimney systems. We provide full installation, maintenance such as chimney sweeping and repair services. This position involves working out of a work truck daily travelling from job site to job site. This is a unique position with room to grow and become a certified technician.
Responsibilities
- Assist with loading and unloading materials and equipment on-site
- Prepare work areas by cleaning, organizing, and setting up necessary tools and supplies
- Support skilled tradespeople by holding or passing tools, materials, or equipment as needed
- Perform general manual labor including, lifting, carrying, moving materials and climbing ladders.
- Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment for all team members
- Operate basic machinery or tools under supervision when required
- Ensure work areas are clean and free of hazards throughout the project duration
- Assist with site cleanup and waste removal at the end of each shift
Experience
- Prior experience in construction, landscaping, or general labor is preferred but not required
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks consistently and safely
- Familiarity with basic hand tools and machinery is a plus
- Strong work ethic with a focus on safety and teamwork
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently
- Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Pay: From $24.00 per hour
