Become a HomeShare Provider!
Are you looking for a meaningful way to make a difference in your community while earning income from home?
Corridor Community Options Society (CCOS) is seeking compassionate, reliable people to become HomeShare Providers. HomeShare is a residential support option that helps adults with disabilities live full, meaningful lives in their communities.
HomeShare can look different depending on the match:
- Share your home with the person receiving support and provide a safe, supportive living environment.
- Move into the home of the person looking for support and provide a safe, supportive living environment.
As a HomeShare Provider, you'll become part of someone's daily life by offering support based on their unique goals and needs. Support can include:
- Cooking and meal planning
- Day-to-day routines and daily living skills
- Attending appointments and advocating for the person you are supporting
- Medication reminders and health-related supports
- Community participation and recreation
- Budgeting and organization
- Building independence and confidence
Every HomeShare arrangement is unique. Support is tailored to the individual, and no two matches are exactly alike.
The Matching Process
We take great care in creating successful HomeShare matches.
All applicants complete a thorough Home Study which includes:
- Multiple home visits and interviews
- Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check
- Child Abuse Registry Check
- Reference checks
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
If approved, we will work with you to find a compatible match. You'll have the opportunity to meet the person, get to know one another, and decide together whether the arrangement feels right before moving forward.
Being a HomeShare Provider is more than opening your home. It's building a meaningful relationship and helping someone create the life they want.
Many providers enjoy:
- Making a lasting difference in someone's life
- Building meaningful connections
- Supporting independence and inclusion
- Working from home
- Flexible, rewarding work
- Receiving ongoing support from the HomeShare Coordinators
Previous experience supporting people with disabilities is an asset but not required. CCOA will provide training and ongoing support throughout the process.
Compensation
Monthly funding is based on the support needs of the individual and typically ranges from $1,900 to $5,500 per month
