We are looking for a warm and experienced receptionist to care for our clients and patients. The job will involve greeting clients and their furry friends and ensuring their needs are met, including understanding the need for their visit, scheduling appointments, explaining and dealing with payment options, delivering clients to exam rooms, and communicating with veterinary staff.
This is a leadership role where you will be working closely with the practice manager, owner and other team members. Opportunities for advancement are available. Duties
- Manage the front desk and serve as the first point of contact for visitors
- Answer and direct phone calls in a professional manner
- Establish and maintain relationships with clients and patients
- Maintain and organize physical and electronic files
- Provide administrative support to various departments
- Ensure excellent customer service by assisting clients with inquiries
- Oversee the reception area and coordinate daily tasks of reception staff
Requirements
- You must live in Lethbridge or the surrounding area to apply for this position. This is an in-person job with no remote work options.
- Strong computer skills, including comfort with the google drive suite and familiarity with or ability to learn the practice management software (Daysmart).
- Strong organization abilities, written and communication skills, and attention to detail
- Experience with pets and their owners
- Comfortable talking to people and responding to the needs of others
- Proficiency in phone etiquette and customer service
- Proven experience in a receptionist or clerical role
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and work in a fast paced environment
- Degree and experience in business, administration, management, health care, or animal health technology is an asset
Job Types: Permanent, Full-time
Pay: $24.00-$28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
