Right now we’re looking for a Program Service Assistant to provide administrative support to our Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) department. This person will present and share information related to infection risks.
Reports to: VP, Patient Services
Hours of work: must be available for 2-3 shifts per week, plus additional shifts as required
Salary range: $51,619 - $58,071
Employee Group: Non Union
Provide high quality administrative clerical support services to the VP, Patient Services
Collect, enter and organize infection control data
Prepare reports to comply with MOHLTC IPAC program requirements
Coordinate meetings (e.g. send out meeting agendas and notices, prepare documents, correspondence, and presentations, take and distribute meeting minutes, etc.
Monitor volunteers doing data entry (2-6 people); mentor coop students
Enter payroll information for all IPAC staff
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum five years of administrative/secretarial experience required, preferably in a healthcare environment
Completion of a High School diploma required
Certificate in a recognized secretarial/administrative program
Experience organizing travel requirements and conferences required
Data management skills required
Previous supervisory experience preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Access, Publisher)
Typing speed of 60 W.P.M is required.
Experience with graphic design, preferred
Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and show initiative are essential
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
Good attendance record
Proven decision making and problem solving skills
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential issues/information in a professional manner
Excellent attendance and discipline free record required.
