Maderra Personnel is currently seeking a qualified individual for the position of Drilling Facilities Engineer in St. John’s, NL.

Responsibilities
- Provide cross-asset (Hibernia & Hebron) daily technical support to drilling operations and active leadership to ensure facility integrity and business objectives are achieved.
- Support and continuous improvement of the Drilling Specific FIMS (Facility Integrity Management System) program ( e.g. maintenance strategy development, program manual development, program work plans and budgets, KPI stewardship, assessment and management of integrity issues, program status reporting)
- Facilitate the advancement of improvement opportunities from idea generation through implementation including: technical/business evaluation, economic assessments, MOC, design basis/requirements, conceptual approvals, funding, and execution planning. Execution of projects generally limited to field managed modifications and/or small projects.
- Provide ad-hoc technical and troubleshooting support to field operations; identify and engage specialist resources as needed.
- Actively participate in risk assessments and incident investigations (e.g. PHA, HAZOP, RCA).
- Assume leadership role in stewardship of resolving reliability issues (e.g. " bad actors"), integrity issues, and improvements to integrity programs.
- Interface with field Drilling operations to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
- Support maintenance plan, equipment master and material master creation through SAP (UI5), in addition to Company role out of new Polaris project.
- Ownership of Hebron wellbay SIMOPS planning activities and improvement initiatives.
- Stewardship of Drilling Facilities purchase orders and budgets and accountable for Goods and Services receipt process.
- Support for Certifying Authority surveys and timely closure of observations.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years in the Oil and Gas industry.
- Comprehensive knowledge of drilling operations, as well as rig equipment maintenance and integrity
- Demonstrated ability to effectively lead or participate in cross functional teams.
- Strong interpersonal skills with potential or demonstrated ability to effectively interface with field operations and other technical functions.
- Flexibility and willingness to respond to field call-outs or emergencies.
- Applied knowledge of economics as relates to oil and gas project evaluation.
- Knowledge of EMCE Assets and industry design practices and standards.
- Knowledge and ability to participate in facilities risk assessments.
- Ability to learn and apply processes and procedures (EMCAPS, MOC, Risk Assessment, FIMS) to progress projects and initiatives.
