Interior Designer (Maternity Leave Cover – Potential for Permanent Role)

UrbanAge Homes is an award-winning custom home builder known for timeless design, thoughtful spaces, and an elevated client experience. We’re looking for a talented Interior Designer to join our team for a maternity leave contract — with the potential for a permanent role for the right fit.
As part of our design team, you’ll help bring UrbanAge homes to life — from initial concepts through to client selections and finishing details. This is an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, creative environment where design and construction truly come together.
What You’ll Do:
- Guide clients through the interior selections process, from initial consultation to final details.
- Prepare design packages, mood boards, and specifications for custom and spec homes.
- Collaborate with our project management and construction teams to ensure design intent is executed seamlessly on site.
- Source and coordinate materials, finishes, fixtures, and furnishings.
- Maintain vendor relationships and stay up to date on design trends and product offerings.
What We’re Looking For:
- Diploma or degree in Interior Design or a related field.
- 1–3+ years of experience in residential or new home design (custom home experience is a plus).
- Strong understanding of materials, finishes, and spatial planning.
- Excellent communication and organization skills — client-facing experience is an asset.
- Proficiency in design programs such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar.
- A collaborative, detail-oriented mindset and passion for creating beautiful, functional spaces.

Pay: $42,388.21-$70,000.00 per year
