Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrician join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various projects. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical codes, schematics, and industrial electrical systems, with the ability to work safely and efficiently in diverse environments. The Electrician will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and compliance of electrical infrastructure within our organization.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately install and troubleshoot electrical systems.
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, control systems, and equipment in industrial or construction settings.
- Work with low voltage systems and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to support automation processes.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized electrical equipment to perform installations and repairs.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential electrical issues and perform preventative maintenance.
- Assist in renovation projects by updating or upgrading existing electrical systems while adhering to safety standards.
- Troubleshoot complex electrical problems using schematics and technical manuals.
- Ensure all work complies with local electrical codes and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople such as carpenters or HVAC technicians during construction or renovation projects.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed for compliance and future reference.
Experience
- Proven experience as an electrician in industrial or construction environments is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and electrical diagrams.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment used in electrical work.
- Familiarity with low voltage wiring, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and automation systems is highly desirable.
- Experience with renovation projects involving existing electrical infrastructure is a plus.
- Prior handyman experience or general construction background is beneficial but not required.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team while maintaining high safety standards.
