Bottles & Barrels is a fast-growing Ontario wine and spirits agency with a curated portfolio of premium old world wines and reliable operational excellence, seeking experienced independent contractors with established licensee relationships outside the GTA who want to add a high-performing line to their existing book with full autonomy and strong backend support. This is a 100% commission contractor role. You use your existing client book to introduce and grow sales of our portfolio. We provide reliable warehouse fulfillment and accurate order processing so your clients receive consistent, professional service.
Key Responsibilities
1. Drive Sales Through Your Existing Licensee Relationships
- Leverage your established relationships with decision-makers at licensee accounts in your territory to introduce Bottles & Barrels wines and secure placements (by-the-glass, features, and lists).
- Conduct sales calls, tastings, and wine list work using your normal proven process to drive consistent reorders and grow volume and mix with both existing and new accounts.
- We supply samples and basic portfolio support materials. You handle the selling and client relationships with your established approach.
2. Submit Accurate Orders and Collaborate with Our Fulfillment Team
- Submit clear and accurate orders. Our warehouse team handles picking, packing, labeling (client name and box count), secure packaging for special items (wooden boxes, gifting), and temperature-aware delivery to protect product quality.
- Include any special delivery notes or instructions. Communicate issues or client feedback promptly so our team can resolve them quickly and keep your accounts running smoothly.
- This operational reliability is a key reason experienced reps partner with us — your clients get consistent professional execution without extra effort on your side.
Qualifications
- Proven Track Record: Minimum 2 years of successful wine or beverage alcohol sales to on-premise licensee accounts in Ontario. Strong preference for candidates with an active existing book of business and ongoing relationships in their local market outside the GTA.
- Territory & Logistics: Valid Ontario G driver’s license with clean driving abstract and reliable vehicle for regular travel in your territory.
- Approach: Self-directed, reliable, and detail-oriented with strong relationship and follow-through skills. Comfortable working independently while providing clear, timely order information and feedback to our ops team. Ability to handle wine cases and samples for tastings as needed.
- Location: Based in and able to effectively cover a specific Ontario region well outside the Greater Toronto Area. Please state your preferred territory when applying (e.g., Ottawa/Eastern Ontario, Southwestern Ontario, Niagara/Hamilton area, etc.).

- Direct Partnership: Work directly with ownership and a small ops team. Quick responses on samples, orders, and issues with minimal bureaucracy.
This role is for established contractors who already know how to sell successfully to licensees. We are looking for partners who can add our portfolio to their book and benefit from reliable fulfillment and straightforward support.
