About this opportunity:

The Tax Analyst Intern will support the Corporate Taxation group in tax compliance, provision, forecasting, audit defense and administration matters.

Preferred Skills:

Strong communication skills: written, verbal and interpersonal
Proficient computer skills (including Microsoft Suite)
Strong knowledge of accounting and finance
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Self-motivation to take initiative and meet deadlines
Ability to work well under pressure
Ability to work well individually and in a team environment
High degree of organization and attention to detail
Knowledge of Canadian Income Tax and Indirect Tax rules would be a plus but not mandatory
Exposure to Corporate Tax Software would be a plus but not mandatory

Activities:

Maintain and assist in gathering information for US GAAP tax provisions and forecasts of global sites
Assist in gathering information to support tax and/or information returns
Assist in maintaining task management and tax data gathering tools
Assist in preparing schedules and calculations to support tax information
Assist in responding to queries from internal/external auditors
File documents in accordance with established procedures
Assist in timely payment of tax related invoices
Arrange internal meetings

Physical Demands:

Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment
Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data
Repetitive manual movements are frequently required (e.g. data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc).
