VCC is seeking skilled and experienced Concrete Cutting & Coring Operators who take pride in their craft and are committed to delivering high-quality results. We are looking for professionals with hands-on experience operating Concrete Wall Saws, Core Drills, and Slab Saws in a variety of job-site conditions.
As an experienced operator, you will be responsible for independently executing cutting and coring tasks using specialized equipment while consistently meeting VCC’s high standards for quality, precision, and safety. This role requires a strong understanding of proper cutting techniques, job layout interpretation, equipment operation, and routine maintenance to ensure tools remain in optimal working condition.
Successful candidates will demonstrate reliability, a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision. Experienced operators are expected to model safe work practices, contribute to job-site coordination, and support less-experienced team members when needed.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate concrete cutting & coring equipment
- Measure, mark, and verify cutting locations to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
- Perform precise cutting, drilling, and removal of concrete, asphalt, and other construction materials according to project specifications.
- Set up work areas, including barricades, safety signage, water management systems, and dust control measures.
- Follow all company safety policies, industry regulations, and site-specific safety requirements.
- Identify and avoid embedded utilities, structural elements, and other potential hazards before cutting or coring operations.
- Load, transport, and unload equipment and materials to and from job sites.
- Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, contractors, and other trades to coordinate work activities.
- Monitor equipment performance and report maintenance or repair needs promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, equipment usage, and daily site activities.
- Ensure job sites are kept clean, organized, and free of hazards during and after project completion.
- Troubleshoot operational issues and adjust cutting methods to achieve required results.
- Assist with concrete demolition, removal, and disposal activities when required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50–75 lbs regularly
- Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and work in confined spaces
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to work around loud noise, dust, and vibration
Desired Skills & Qualifications
- Experience operating concrete cutting and coring equipment.
- Knowledge of concrete structures, construction practices, and demolition methods.
- Strong understanding of workplace safety procedures and hazard assessment.
- Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and perform demanding manual labor.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
