About Balto Capital
Balto Capital is a fast-growing private lending and real estate investment firm. As part of managing and growing our real estate portfolio in Yellowknife, we are seeking a reliable and experienced Maintenance Technician to support ongoing maintenance, repairs, and new projects across our properties.
What You’ll Do
- Get vacant apartments move-in ready
- Handle painting, drywall patching, fixture replacements, closet door installation, and other finishing work
- Perform minor plumbing, carpentry, and general maintenance repairs
- Troubleshoot and respond to resident maintenance requests and emergency calls
- Identify larger maintenance issues and coordinate repairs with specialized trades when needed
- Work closely with property management and external vendors to keep projects moving
- Keep accurate records by taking before-and-after photos and providing regular progress updates
- Travel between properties throughout the day to complete assigned work
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Prior experience in maintenance and renovations
- Comfortable working independently
- Must be open to late-night calls and emergency situations
- No major outside commitments (the role is demanding and time-sensitive)
- A customer-service mindset
- Experience maintaining residential plumbing is an asset
- Your own reliable transportation that can be used for work would be an asset
