Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in residential and commercial settings.
- Perform electrical wiring, troubleshooting, and repairs.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams for effective layout of electrical systems.
- Install and maintain low voltage systems, including security alarms and fire alarms.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure timely project completion within budget.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential electrical issues or hazards.
- Respond to emergency calls for electrical repairs.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of residential and commercial electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, and power distribution.
- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools for electrical work.
- Experience as a residential or commercial electrician preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and logic controllers.
- Familiarity with low voltage systems installation and maintenance.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve electrical issues.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Requirements:
- Must have a valid driver's license and access to a reliable car.
- Own and maintain a set of basic electrical tools.
- Working at heights certification is considered an asset.
