We are seeking a reliable, professional, and compassionate Student Transportation Driver to join our growing transportation team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting students to and from school while maintaining a safe, positive, and supportive environment. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with children and take pride in providing dependable transportation services to families.
Our company specializes in student transportation services and is actively expanding its operations throughout the GTA.
Schedule
- Monday to Friday (School Days Only)
- Split Shift Schedule
Morning Route:
Approximately 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM
Afternoon Route:
Approximately 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM
- Approximately 20 service days per month
- Schedule subject to school holidays, PA days, school closures, and family vacations
Compensation
- $90 - $110 per scheduled service day (based on experience and qualifications)
- Company vehicle provided
- Fuel card provided
- All fuel, maintenance, repairs, and insurance covered by employer
- Payroll position (CPP and EI contributions included)
- Paid orientation and training
Location Requirement
Applicants must reside in Durham Region, Scarborough, Markham, or surrounding areas.
Due to the nature of the route and split-shift schedule, preference will be given to candidates who live within the service area and can reliably cover routes between Whitby and Richmond Hill.
Applicants residing significantly outside the service area may not be considered.
Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to and from school
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain a clean and professional vehicle
- Follow all company safety procedures and transportation policies
- Communicate professionally with families, schools, and management
- Ensure students are transported safely, respectfully, and on time
- Report any incidents, accidents, or vehicle concerns promptly
Requirements
- Valid Ontario Class G Driver's Licence
- Clean Driver's Abstract
- Clean Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
- Current CPR and Standard First Aid Certification
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
- Professional appearance and conduct
- Strong communication skills
- Dependable, punctual, and safety-focused
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with children
- Experience in childcare, education, youth programs, healthcare, community services, or transportation
- Experience supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or other developmental needs is considered an asset
- Previous professional driving experience is considered an asset
