Position Summary
CTR is seeking an experienced, motivated, and organized Warehouse Lead to oversee daily warehouse operations at our EastPoint location at 220 Transport Road (off of Gunn and Redonda).
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong organizational skills, warehouse experience, dispatch coordination, inventory control, and a commitment to exceptional customer service. The successful candidate will work closely with leadership across multiple CTR locations to ensure products move efficiently, inventory remains accurate, and customers receive outstanding service. This position requires strong communication and team work with the sales teams at all locations.
Primary Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations
- Lead the day-to-day warehouse operation.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse.
- Coordinate receiving, stocking, transfers, and shipping.
- Ensure warehouse processes are followed consistently.
- Health & Safety Lead for EastPoint (EPO), attend Wall Street safety meetings via Teams. Update H&S board, ensure safety inspections are done on the order picker and fire extinguishers. CTR covers the costs for fork lift training, MOPIA, Dangerous Goods, CPR, and any other required courses to ensure employees are provided with the appropriate resources to complete this role.
Dispatch Coordination
- Coordinate daily deliveries and driver schedules, becoming a master with our software (Elite Extra, Amador, Outlook, and Excel).
- Work with the leadership team on a daily basis to move drivers from one location to another for vacations etc.
- Communicate with all team members to ensure timely deliveries.
- Prioritize urgent customer requirements. Determine when a customer needs to be contacted to determine request, delivery expectations especially for out of town orders / smaller orders.
- Support route planning and operational efficiency.
- Follow up and ensure PDI’s are completed daily by the driver.
- Co-ordinate all vehicle maintenance and run quotes by the leadership team to ensure we are making the most accurate decision to proceed with a repair or request additional vehicles to the fleet.
Parts Picking & Order Fulfillment
- Accurately pick customer orders. This is the priority of the day.
- Stage orders for pickup and delivery.
- Verify order accuracy before shipment.
- Assist counter staff during busy periods.
Inventory Management
- Complete scheduled cycle counts, this is daily when warehouse is slow and drivers support this function.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies. A double count is required on discrepancies.
- Support annual inventory counts.
- Maintain inventory accuracy and organization.
- Assist with inventory optimization initiatives.
- Learn the Carrier overstock inventory for support of the Dealership at Wall Street.
Leadership & Communication
- Work closely with leadership at Wall Street, EastPoint, Carrier, and Northern. Attend meetings as required via Teams and sometimes in person at any location.
- Coordinate inventory transfers between locations.
- Communicate operational issues promptly.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the company.
- Assist with training and mentoring warehouse team members.
Customer Service
- Deliver outstanding service to both internal and external customers.
- Resolve issues professionally and efficiently.
- Build positive working relationships with customers and teammates.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess:
- Minimum 5 years of warehouse, logistics, or distribution experience.
- Previous dispatch experience considered an asset.
- Strong inventory control knowledge.
- Experience with cycle counting and warehouse organization.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Strong computer skills and ERP experience (Amador experience is considered an asset).
- Forklift certification is considered an asset.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
