Acclaim Health announces the availability of one (1) Casual RPN position to work 8-hour shifts in a retirement home environment from 7am to 3pm or from 1pm to 9pm on a rotational basis. The Individual will be required to work 1:3 weekends with shift times 8:30am – 8:30pm in addition to a statutory holiday rotation.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- Pay: CA$25.00 - CA$26.59 per hour.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
- Provide nursing care to individuals in a Retirement home setting.
- Conduct and review initial assessments during resident application process.
- Meet the health needs of the patient/family through the provision of nursing care.
- Develop, implement, evaluate, and modify the plan of care outlining the strategies, orders and actions to achieve expected/desired outcomes.
- Assess the health status of the client using a holistic care approach.
- Maintain electronic health record.
- Work in compliance with the Retirement Home Regulatory Act.
- Complete incident reports as needed.
- Consult with hospital discharge planners and other care providers.
- Participate in Infection Control committee.
- Administer medications topically through natural body orifices and by injections.
- Participate in falls prevention program
- Attend team meetings and mandatory trainings as required.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Current registration with the CNO
- Retirement home experience is an asset
- Infection control experience is an asset
- Pain & symptom management experience
- Medication Administration experience
- Current CPR certificate
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and teaching skills
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle an asset
