Modular Precast Systems is a business in Bradford West Gwillimbury, ON, that manufactures and installs both structural and architectural precast. Our state-of-the-art facility produces product for Eastern Canada and the Northeast US market. Our goal is to provide the highest quality precast construction components for our clients.
JOB TITLE: Precast Labourer
JOB TYPE: Full-time, Permanent
SALARY: $25.00 /hour (subject to experience)
BENEFITS: Medical Benefits Plan (50/50 split), 15 days vacation (after 3 months),
LOCATION: In-Person, Bradford West Gwillimbury (first 3 months training will be in Bolton, ON)
The Precast Labourer is responsible for supporting the day-to-day production of precast concrete products in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship are paramount in this position.
Key Responsibilities
· Assisting in the preparation of molds and forms for precast concrete products
· Mixing, pouring, and finishing concrete as directed
· Operating hand tools and basic power tools safely
· Stripping and cleaning forms after concrete has cured
· Moving and handling precast products using manual or mechanical means
· Performing general housekeeping and maintaining a clean, safe work area
· Following all health and safety policies and procedures
· Supporting other team members and trades as needed on the production floor
· Comply with all aspects of the MPS Quality Policies
Qualifications
· Experience preferred but new
· Safety Certification (WHMIS, Working at Heights, 4 Step Health & Safety)
· Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
· Punctual and reliable
· Work well under pressure of meeting deadlines
· Attention to detail and resourceful
· Fluent in English
· Ability to work independently and with others as a team
· Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs repeatedly throughout the shift
· Comfortable standing, bending, and working in various physical positions for extended periods
· Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
· Steel-toed boots required
