Job Summary
We are a modern clinic in Markham; looking for a dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality preventive dental care, educating patients on oral health, and assisting the dental team in delivering exceptional patient experiences.
Responsibilities
- Perform dental cleanings, take and develop dental radiographs as needed
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies
- Assist the dentist during examinations
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Cleardent
- Manage patient appointments efficiently and ensure a smooth flow of clinical operations
- Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control protocols according to OSHA standards
- Support pediatric patients with gentle care and effective communication
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive, welcoming environment for all patients
Skills
- Experience in dental assisting or working within a dental office setting is preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dentistry and oral health care
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of infection control and patient safety
- HARP certificate
