Manufacturing Planning Associate

Reporting to the Production Planning Manager, West the Manufacturing Planning Associate role will work closely with our facilities to gather requirements and produce production and manufacturing schedules to support our national and international operations. Creating and maintaining portions of the overall Master Production Schedule in the ERP system (Sage X3) and other systems as required
Combining demand forecasts and inventory reports to create efficient production growing plans for all sites and determine final product manufacturing allocations
Optimizing manufacturing schedules, including coordination of work orders and assumed time frames to ensure sufficient product availability within several distinct markets
Communicating expected availability and real-time delays to stakeholders while providing mitigation recommendations and shifts
Developing daily and weekly schedules for various Production departments
Managing facility forecast models, analyze trends, manage forecast tools, and maintain accurate data
Working closely with operational teams to ensure we are in line with machine capacities, materials and manpower availability
Scheduling and tracking all product through the entire product realization cycle
Continuously track demand vs. capacity as well production and quality control schedule adherence
Ensuring all the production routing is updated and accurate
Ensuring production plans are communicated to stakeholders to ensure sufficient procurement and staffing demands and lead times
Maintaining all inventory with completing analysis and adjusting when required in the ERP system (finished goods, supply, consumables)
Defining and determining trends, proceed with all required planning analysis to identify any issue
Consulting with functional teams such as supply planning, sales, production planning and procurement to obtain relevant data and insights on demand
Other duties as required

Broad knowledge and excellent understanding of a range of business intelligence concepts and common business functions and practices, including but not limited to maintenance management, inventory management, customer service, records management, policies and procedures, finance systems and reporting
Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt; maintain focus and a high degree of accuracy while working with complex data in an environment of ever-changing deadlines, priorities and requirements
Self-motivated and customer focused
Experience working with ERP software
Excellent communication skills (oral, written and presentation)
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and collaborate on projects
Ability to think strategically, problem solve and make quick decisions
Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel (advanced skills)
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Time management and follow-up skills; highly organized and detail oriented

2-3 years experience production planning in a manufacturing environment
Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting or Business or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience considered an asset
