We are looking for: QA - Analytics

About the team

The QA team is responsible for ensuring the quality, security and performance of released product are maintained at the highest levels to be deployed into our customer data centers around the world. Various tools (both internally developed and commercially available) are used to achieve this goal. Working within the larger Product Operations group, QA is responsible for Release Management, End to End testing and quality, performance testing and working with all other groups within the Product group to ensure the highest standards of quality are met.

What You’ll Do

As a member of our Product Operations team under the QA group, you will be involved in the creation of Sample Data for use across the organization, from functional and performance testing to customer demos and beta tests. You will take requirements from other teams on what data needs to be created based on new features being added to the product. Understanding the RapidResponse data model will be key to success in this role. In addition to being involved in creating the data, you will be involved in the development and maintenance of an internal tool used to automatically generate this data. This tool will be key to scaling the data over time to be representative of different customer verticals as well as customer data size (S, M, L) and complexity.

Design, develop and use a data creation tool
Use and extend our data analysis capabilities
Assist in writing and maintaining analytics and other tests, utilizing Sample Data where applicable
Work with various stakeholders to align test priorities to prevent customer escalations
Following Agile practices.

What we are looking for

In addition to a post-secondary diploma or degree in a related discipline, you possess:

At least 3 years of experience in a software development / test position
Practical experience with programming techniques and languages (C#, Java)
The ability to ‘think outside the box’ is crucial in this fast-paced environment
Excellent verbal and communication skills
Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
Strong self-learning skills
Strong ability to share knowledge and mentor more junior test developers
Self-starter with strong initiative and results orientation
Agile experience
Proven record of staying informed of the latest test development technologies
Adaptable and flexible to changing priorities
A sense of fun and the willingness to laugh often!
