About Us
Frontier is a growing Alberta-based trucking and logistics company dedicated to providing safe, reliable, and efficient transportation solutions across Canada. We are expanding our logistics branch and seeking an experienced Freight Agent to join our team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring operational success, supporting client relationships, and developing best practices for our long-term growth.
What You’ll Do
· Coordinate and help manage logistics for local, line haul, and Canadian shipments
· Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, clients, and partners
· Negotiate rates, contracts, and service agreements with transportation providers
· Track shipments, resolve issues, and provide timely updates to clients and management
· Assist with truck movements, dispatch, and operational coverage as needed (including holiday coverage)
· Support management in implementing operational improvements and best practices within our logistics branch
What We’re Looking For
· 3–5 years of experience in freight brokerage, transportation sales, or freight agent role
· Strong knowledge of the transportation industry, including load boards, permitting, and compliance regulations
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
· Adaptable and open to new responsibilities as our logistics department grows
