What You'll Do
- Perform meter calibrations on various types, including Dri-Flos, turbines, PD meters, ultrasonic, coriolis, and magnetic flow meters.
- Repair and test chemical pumps, centrifugal pumps, recycle pumps, and VRUs.
- Repair and test controls, switches, and gauges to ensure proper functionality.
- Conduct in-house welding and machining for component repairs and modifications.
- Repair and test rod rotators for operational reliability.
- Service and repair valves, including control valves, chokes, ball valves, ESD valves, dump valves, divert valves and pressure relief valves in accordance with TSASK-regulated procedures and documentation requirements.
- Work with transmitters, EFMs, and other electronic devices for calibration and repair.
- Perform flame cell cleaning and ensure proper documentation is completed.
- Manage exchange items and maintain inventory of replacement parts.
- Follow Primec’s ISO 9001:2015 quality management system to ensure compliance and competency in all repair activities.
- Maintain accurate documentation of repairs, calibrations, and testing procedures.
- Participate in safety meetings, training sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
What You Bring
- 2-5 years of experience in equipment repair and calibration in oil & gas or industrial settings
- High School Diploma
- Knowledge of pumps, valves, meters, pressure relief valves and electronic devices preferred
- Welding and machining experience considered an asset
- Primec is willing to train and develop the right candidate, who demonstrates a strong mechanical aptitude, positive attitude, and willingness to learn
