DLL Canada invites you to share in our success by joining our – Construction, Transportation & Industrial Team (CT&I). With the initiative to create a presence in the Machine Tool financing arena. We are looking for a Business Development Manager. This is a unique opportunity to be on the ground floor in helping build, develop and manage a new product line for CT&I Canada. The role will be new and unique for DLL Canada.

Reporting to the Canadian Sales Manager for Construction, Transportation & Industrial as the Business Development Manager (BDM) you will look to create partnerships with dealers, distributors and manufactures. Primary responsibilities will range from onboarding dealers and distributors, managing business flow, reviewing application submittals, providing underwriting support, structuring transactions, quoting, promoting fair market value (FMV) and FPPO products along with portfolio management.

DAY TO DAY::
Establish and maintain proactive relationships with external dealers, distributors and manufactures
Establish and maintain proactive relationships with internal DLL operational departments
Manage opportunities and engage end-users where necessary
Create, manage and achieve commercial/performance target goals
Manage and support the documentation and funding flow
Support the internal credit process
Report on transactional activities as required
Create PowerPoint presentation, training manuals and communication collateral internally and externally as required
Attend off-site meetings as required

ESSENTIALS:
Minimum College Diploma or University Degree in Business or equivalent experience
Minimum 6-10 years sales or related leasing experience, directly interacting with vendors and end users
Minimum 6-10 years working in the machine tool industry
Previous credit exposure, understanding of financial statements and credit reviews
Proven sales, negotiation, presentation and interpersonal skills
Thorough knowledge of current marketplace trends and activities
Strength in amortization schedules, lease product pricing, subsidy management
A “need to win” attitude and the ability to persevere to see the process through to completion.
Leadership or sales training skills an asset
Proficient in MS Office product, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Solid team player
A self-starter with the ability to work independently
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
