Receiving & Seed Bagging - St Catharines
Urban Nature Store is seeking a part-time Team Member for our St Catharines location. Primary responsibilities will be to receive shipments and bagging bird seed. Candidate must be able to be on their feet for up to 8 hours and repeatedly lift up to 50lbs.
Urban Nature Store is a leader in the Wild Birding community. Our customers come to us for a variety of high-quality wild birding related products, ranging from seed to feeders to houses to binoculars, as well as specialty nature related gifts and educational toys.
Customers rely on us for our expertise. Our customers are wild bird and nature enthusiasts and love to share their latest nature stories with us.

Skills:
- Ability to lift 50lbs repeatedly
- Ability to be on our feet for up to 8 hours per day
- Ability to offload and organize several pallets of bird seed (25 and 50 lb bags) within a 3-4 hour window
- Meticulously bagging bird seed from their master bags into shelf size retail bags
- Keeping a meticulously clean and organized work space
- A commitment to teamwork with a “Can Do” attitude
- An interest in wild birding
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Flexibility to work days, evenings and weekends
- Have a reliable means of transportation to and from the store
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Enthusiasm for learning and personal growth
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: From $17.95 per hour
Expected hours: 10.0 – 20.0 per week
