Your role

You will be creating learning materials for MEC staffers using the new MEC Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. Successful implementation requires excellent learning and resource materials, including User Guides, Quick Reference Guides, cheat sheets, process maps, infographs, and any other resources staff need to get their work done.

To create effective learning materials, you need to be both tech savvy and understand how people learn. You are excited to try new systems and can translate technical concepts into accessible and relevant resources for a variety of staff members. Understanding how people learn means you can communicate with anyone in the organization. You can accept and action the valuable feedback you will receive from learners to continue developing relevant content.

Answering to the Deployment Leads from store, DCs, and Head Office, your regular interactions will be with the ERP Training Team, Business Lead Team (BLT), Deployment Team, Business Analysts, Subject Matter Experts, Store Operations Team, and Super Users.

Documentation, Training, Planning, Troubleshooting - you’ll jump in and see tasks through to completion. You are organized and can understand new concepts quickly. You’re an adaptable communicator and understand the learning needs of a variety of audiences. Most importantly, you are friendly, patient, and approachable.

The WHAT

The ERP team is ramping up to deliver the third phase of the project which is all about Inventory. The impacts are spread across the entire organization and we are excited to be working with new end users from the stores, DCs, and Head Office. We need to continue building useful documentation and start getting our end users prepared for deployment.

Your current tasks will include:
Continued development of learning materials through the Testing and Deployment phases of the ERP project
Working closely with Testing Team during UAT and ensuring all learning materials are up to date
Working with Deployment Team to test and validate all learning material
Helping the BLT get ready for training and coordinating with the Operations team to ensure trainers have what they need to deliver training to up to 2000 store staff
Collecting feedback before, during, and after deployment to create the best documentation possible
Effectively transitioning documentation to the Sustainment Team and relevant Business Owners after the delivery is completed

What Great Looks Like

You have worked diligently with the Deployment Team to prepare for Go-Live. When the day arrives, all end users are excited, trained, and prepared for the changes. Their learning materials are organized and easily accessible and they know where to go for help. As the Deployment rolls out, you gain and manage valuable feedback from end users and work it into the learning materials until you are ready to hand the resources over to the Sustainment Team for continued care. You understand the escalation process for issues and can help problem solve when necessary.
