Hiring: Corporate Law Clerk
Reports To:
Senior Legal Affairs Manager
Job Description:
The Corporate Law Clerk role will work with the Senior Legal Affairs Manager and the VP, Privacy and Compliance to provide support for legal matters to the in-house legal department including but not limited to general corporate matters, overseeing subsidiaries in both Canada and the US and assisting with reviewing contracts, agreements and other legal documents

Job Duties:

Preparing resolutions and other corporate documents for subsidiaries

Filing of provincial and state annual filings and notices of change
-
Monitoring and administration of contracts

Provides legal support to the business
-
Respond to general legal inquiries as appropriate and escalate where necessary

Communicate and help train internal clients on company and legal department policies
-
Special projects as requested
Requirements:
-
Minimum 2-4 years related experience in a supporting role within a corporate in-house legal department setting or equivalent experience

Post-secondary education (College diploma, or University degree preferred)

Legal Certification, Lawyer w/ LSO, Paralegal w/ LSO, Law Clerk w/ ILCO
-
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.

High degree of integrity, and honesty

Ability to work under pressure

Highly organized and analytical

Bilingual is Plus - French
