QA INSPECTOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct incoming inspection of materials coming from suppliers and vendors.
- Conduct in-process inspection of ongoing parts for production (3 times per shift: start of shift, middle of shift, and end of shift)
- Conduct final visual inspection of parts (as per sampling plan) prior to sending to vendor.
- Conduct final inspection of parts (as per sampling plan) prior to sending to customer.
- Conduct first-off parts inspection
- Prepare required documents/reports for the customer as part of their requirements. (Final Inspection, First Article inspection, etc.)
- Verify compliance of operators to in-process inspection reports (inspection frequency, dimensional inputs) and conduct actual inspection as well
- Initiate creation of NCRs, Return/Reworks or Corrective Action Reports using E2 as needed.
- Investigate quality issues with customers and ensure that root causes and proper corrective actions are implemented in production
- Verify countermeasures implemented by production on NCRs/CARs.
- Assist in creation of job instructions, work standards and other documents as needed in production.
- Conduct calibration of QC measuring instruments being used by the company (production and QA) as per annual schedule or as instructed.
- Stamping of parts to identify them as part of customer requirements.
- Document rework and quarantine parts and create timelines for the parts with production.
- Develop and maintain quality standards and best practices, including safety.
- Other duties as instructed by Quality Assurance Manager.
