Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate orders using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as TOAST POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while managing guest payments efficiently
- Assist with food preparation and food handling tasks to support kitchen operations when needed
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in dining areas, workstations, and service stations in compliance with food safety regulations
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and maximize sales opportunities through friendly suggestions
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a strong understanding of the food industry
- Familiarity with POS systems such as TOAST POS for order entry and cashiering functions
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy service periods
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude towards guests
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for billing, change calculation, and order adjustments
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and assist guests efficiently
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred but not required; a willingness to learn is essential
