We are a one of a kind urban mill, bakery, toast and espresso bar in liberty village. We take premium organic Canadian heritage and ancient grains, stone mill them onsite and use it fresh in our bread that we bake in store daily and for others around the city.
Since opening in January 2019 we have attracted a huge amount of interest and are looking for the right individual to help us keep up with the demand. We are an extremely passionate group of individuals who love bread and everything to do with fresh flour and fermentation with a company that is expanding rapidly. We are one of the only bakeries in the city using 100% fresh flour milled on-site to bake with, its truly a one of a kind opportunity.
We are looking for a pastry cook to help with:
-Scaling, mixing and portioning various pastries such as croissant dough, cookies, muffins, financier, madeleine, etc. Experience using a sheeter and familiarity with laminated products is required.
-Assist in the daily bake off of pastry products
-Maintaining the general cleanliness of the bakery
The candidate is someone who:
Can work independently and closely follow recipes and instructions from management and head baker.
Is punctual-shifts usually begin at 6am
Part time: 2-3 shifts per week
Can lift up to 20kg
Pay: From $22.00 per hour
