CAD Designer / Mechanical Drafter
We are looking for a detail-oriented CAD Designer / Mechanical Drafter to join our team. The ideal candidate has a mechanical engineering or fabrication background and is comfortable creating detailed drawings for equipment, skids, piping, and structural components.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed 2D and 3D mechanical drawings using AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor.
- Develop fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, layouts, and shop drawings.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Work with engineers and project teams to develop practical and fabrication-ready designs.
- Revise drawings based on engineering and project requirements.
- Maintain accurate CAD files, drawings, and revision records.
- Apply practical knowledge of mechanical fabrication and construction to ensure designs are buildable.
Qualifications
- Mechanical engineering, mechanical drafting, or related technical background.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor.
- Experience with mechanical equipment, steel fabrication, piping, skids, or industrial projects is an asset.
- Ability to read and understand engineering and fabrication drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently.
Experience with SolidWorks or other 3D CAD software is an asset, but AutoCAD and Inventor are the primary software for this position.
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
