Our team is looking for a Customer Service Representative to help serve a well-loved retail and hot food counter. This position requires individuals who are able to work with a diverse community of customers with respect and compassion. Successful candidates will have an enthusiastic outlook and willingness to learn about Hong Kong and Taiwanese cuisine and Cantonese language and culture.
Base pay is $17.85/hr, with an average of $3.00/hr in tips for a an average total of $20.85/hr.
Responsibilities:
- Process customer payments on POS
- Handle cash and card transactions
- Retrieve hot food from dim sum steamer
- Respond to customer questions regarding products
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the store
- Perform store opening/closing procedures
Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
- Punctuality
- Spoken English is required, Cantonese are and Mandarin are an asset
- Ability to read Chinese is an asset
- Prior experience in food service or retail is an asset
Our second location Kam Wai Legacy 金威劉傳 (location: 2285 E Hastings Street) is coming soon. Successful candidate is required to work at Chinatown or Legacy location.
