Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Using MiTek Structure for Floor and Wall panel design on low to mid-rise residential housing.
- Reviewing and analyzing specifications, blueprints, engineered drawings and related designs to determine factors affecting design of panels.
- Creating RFI’s for any conflict or missing information that may affect panel design.
- Creating layouts, elevations and other file types to send to panel shop for fabrication and site assembly.
- Completing and finalizing designs for production and assembly.
- Evaluating designs to ensure that design standards, structural integrity within the OBC are being met.
- Communicating with design team, production teams, customers and Managers to ensure designs are accurate throughout the process
- Qualifications:
- College or University education in Construction Technology: Civil Engineering, Architectural Technician, Building Science, etc. or equivalent work experience in wood framing industry
- 2 to 3 years’ experience using AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, Adobe Pro and Microsoft Office
- Highly technical with computer systems, and has exceptional communication, multi-tasking, and leadership skills
- Must be able to handle pressure of tight deadlines and complete working drawings in a timely manner
- Must demonstrates understanding of key engineering and framing concepts; have critical thinking and problem solving skills
